We just got the The Beatles’ Love CD as a gift. We love it! It’s a great addition to your collection if you’re a Beatles fan, and a great listen if you’ve become a fan because of your kids. My kids like that I am the Walrus and Octopus’ Garden are on it. If you’re expecting a compilation of original Beatles love songs, be warned this is NOT a “Best of..” collection, but remixes of master tapes created by George Martin (the Beatles producer) and his son Giles. We were disappointed by the extra DVD included – it has big graphic titles and lets you play the music on a DVD player (I guess if you’ve got a home theater setup that doesn’t play CDs, then it’s useful).
Visit the The Beatles’ Love site to see and hear more about the music and check out Cirque du Soleil with The Beatles music. Cirque du Soleil started as a group of young entertainers who got together to amuse audiences in a small town near Quebec City, Canada in the early eighties. A band of colourful characters roamed the streets, striding on stilts, juggling, dancing, breathing fire, and playing music.
