kellyheadshot.jpgPreparing for the arrival of your child and taking care of them once they arrive raises lots of questions–from the basics like eating and sleeping to tips on discipline, sibling rivalry, and baby carriers.

Introducing a new column—Ask Kelly. Kelly LaChance-Guertin has been a birth and postpartum doula for the past five years. She is currently a certified birth doula through DONA (Doulas of North America) and a certified childbirth educator. As the co-owner of Bellani Maternity and the mother of two, she experiences first-hand the struggle of balancing work and family, as well as the realities of raising children. In our new column, Ask Kelly, she will answer questions about pregnancy, parenting and childcare. Have a question? Please send them to us and we will post answers to selected questions about once a week.

Hello Kelly! I’m so glad to see you’re writing this column. I’ve been to Bellani many times and every time you and Shannon have been so helpful in answering all my questions (I know I’ve had a lot of them). Keep up the good work over there and I’ll be sure to read your column weekly.
