Chamber Concerts for Kids

Scoreviol-2The Rhode Island Philharmonic has a new series of events for young audiences: The Family Chamber Concert Series. Three groups, four venues and a dozen concerts.

This a great way to introduce classical music to young audiences. The Rhode Island Philharmonic will present general musical concepts and demonstrate the sounds and ranges of various instruments. They invite audience interaction.

Concerts every Sunday at 3 pm, at four locations.
The series culminates May 6, with a performance by the entire Philharmonic at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

Tickets for the chamber concerts are $10, $5 for children, for each show. Call (401) 248-7000, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4:30 pm
