Explore this traditional Japanese art form of nature printing. The name comes from gyo “fish” + taku “rubbing” and is still used by fishermen to record their catch. We will talk about printmaking generally and each child will produce a rubbing of a big one that didn’t get away! Rice paper will be used, but if you wish to print on fabric, bring in a solid-colored piece of fabric at least 16”x20”.
