Camel Rides are back at Roger Williams Park Zoo! Experience these majestic animals like never before in a safe environment with experts on hand to lead you around a track while riding a trained camel. The camel rides are located adjacent to the Big Backyard. This seasonal offering is available from April 20 – September 7, and requires a nominal fee in addition to Zoo admission.

DON’T STOP THE MUSIC! – an exhibition & program series celebrating the history of music in Rhode Island. PPL’s multi-faceted DON’T STOP THE MUSIC exhibition and programs formally begins April 2 with the opening of the in-library exhibit entitled “From Pop to Punk: Highlights of 20th Century Music in Providence.” Major concerts include a collaborative presentation by the Providence Gay Men’s Chorus, which will bring its Spring Concert entitled “Get Happy!” to the PPL from June 4 through June 7.…

Mosaics: Parts and Wholes

Everything is made of little pieces, and artists have made images using small pieces of materials for centuries. Join Peter Geisser – teacher of the deaf and artist who created a new mural in the Museum’s Water Ways exhibit – to make mosaics in celebration of Hearing Loss Awareness Month, presented with RI Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Underwritten by Vigneron Memorial Fund and John D. & Katherine A. Johnston Foundation.
