Erin, I loved reading your piece and about Nadalada farm too! I am very interested in setting up a chicken coop in my yard (in Barrington.) I have a friend in Pawtucket who has the area for her coop all roped off. Do you have any kind of chicken-lady club to recommend? I have read some good books on it, but would like to meet with some kind of chicken-people group in person, if there is one. Any ideas?

Thanks for the wonderful idea. Im usually rushing around the store even with only a short list now I am going to try and "slow" down the pace and let the little ones help. Cant wait to read more of your articles.

Erin, I have been struggling with the concept of being "present" to the moment-your dates with your family express that concept so well. Thanks for the beautiful writing.

it was so nice running into you the other day erin! i love my one-on-one "dates" with my children, i just never thought of calling them that. Even errands become learning, awe-inspiring moments.

erin, you are so right! if going to the grocery store is a "date" instead of an errand we're rushing through to get to the next activity, it is so much more pleasant. and life is just richer. i need to be reminded of this every fifteen minutes or so, so thanks for starting my day off on the right foot.
