Kidoinfo Writer Adventurers Wanted!

[ 4 ] March 11, 2013 |

Writer-Adventurer-ParentKidoinfo is looking for a few cool parents who like to write and who love to explore Rhode Island with their kids to join our team! Do you love your neighborhood? Have a favorite café, library, or playground? This is your opportunity to share your favorite hot spots with the Kidoinfo community.

The new Kidoinfo Directory includes restaurants, shops, classes, museums, libraries, hikes, parks, farmer’s markets, and more—in Providence and beyond! Our focus is on recommending fantastic places. We appreciate frank opinions, but do not include harshly negative reviews.

Your adventure review should include:

  • A description of your family’s experience, including what you did and did not like
  • Specifics: admission fees, hours of operation, a phone number or web site readers can use to get more information
  • Details: where to park, amenities like bathrooms/changing tables, the price of a latte, your kids’ favorite things about the place
  • Photos

COMPENSATION: bragging rights, local fame, perks like museum passes, and occasional surprises!

Interested? To get started, make a list of your favorite places to go and things to do, and then contact us here with Writer Adventurer in the subject line. Send a sample of your writing along with a by-line. In addition to your name, we’d love to include things like: your town or neighborhood, the ages of your kids, what you like to do (for work, fun, or both), and a link to your blog.
