My son did the starter sailor program here last year and loved it! Half the day sailing and half the day at Save the Bay, which was fabulous. He learned so much about sailing, loved the activities at Save the Bay, and arrived home tuckered out, but ready for more the next day. He has already been begging to return this summer to be in the Opti program-so exciting!!

Living in the Ocean State gives us amazing opportunities to get out on the water and we wanted our son to have the experience of enjoying the ocean in a new way by learning skills as sailor. We started by enrolling him in the Starter Sailor/Save the Bay program (a great intro not only to sailing but to marine life and ecology) and will likely sign him up for the Opti Basic class this summer. The instructors and camraderie at ESS are terrific as well.

Last Summer, my son was in the Starter Sailor – Save The Bay Program for 2 weeks. He learned so much each day. What a wonderful program to explore the bay from the surface in the morning and the creatures that dwell within after lunch! The teachers at both sites were excellent, helping my son learn with warmth, enthusiasm, and a keen understanding of skills. My son will return to the all day sailing program this Summer and my daughter will start the Starter Sailor program this year as well. They are already counting the days! I am so grateful that there is such a high quality program available for our children.
