Did you know that SNAP (Food Stamps) and WIC do not pay for diapers? Diapers are a high cost basic need. Families living in poverty are forced to choose between purchasing diapers for their children and purchasing food for the family. No parent should have to make this difficult decision.
The Mother’s Day Diaper Drive is a very tangible way to help families in need. Your donation of disposable diapers of any size and brand will go to the RI Community Food Bank Member Agencies across the state. Everyday these agencies help families meet their basic needs.
TAKE ACTION: Donate disposable diapers with friends, family, or coworkers. Packs of diapers collected at your family dinner or at your work will help parents care for their kids. Your gift of diapers will be accepted by the Rhode Island Community Food Bank at 200 Niantic Ave, Providence, Mon-Fri 8 am – 5 pm or one of the participating businesses listed.
Drop off a package of diapers as you do your errands around the state. For the month of May the following businesses will be collecting packs of disposable diapers of any size and brand:
