2013 Rhode Island Summer Reading Program

We love reading! And thanks to RI Office of Library and Information Services, libraries all across Rhode Island, kids of all ages can join the summer reading fun! The Rhode Island Summer Reading Program encourages children to keep reading all summer long by sharing age-appropriate book recommendations and hosting events and programs at libraries across the state. Visit your local public library this summer and dig into reading with presentations by summer reading program educators and artists.

Summer Reader Explorer and Teen Reader Wallet Cards
Summer readers, children and teens, may earn wallet cards for free admission to the selected Rhode Island attractions by participating in the summer reading program at their local public library. Requirements for earning the card may vary. Inquire in the children’s or teen services departments for details.

Children’s Summer Reading Program: Dig Into Reading!

Kids… You can get your summer reading done while having lots of fun! SEE magicians, storytellers, puppeteers, artists, dancers, musicians, and poets; WIN prizes, including free admission to exciting places; TALK about your favorite books; and, MEET other kids.
