Beach of the Week: East Beach

Eastbeach1Enjoy the summer solstice by heading to the beach!

This Charlestown beach offers three miles of undeveloped beach frontage. No amenities except for the portable toilets in the parking lot. Parking is very limited and fills up early on sunny summer days. The bonus is Ninigret Pond located on the backside of the parking lot. The pond is the perfect setting for sea-life exploration – and the calm shallow water is great for crab hunting. The pond is also a windsurfing destination – a fun spectator sport for kids or a terrific place to learn to windsurf.
