    Skating in Boston too…
About 10 years ago, we were taking my sister to the airport in Boston, but went early to wander around the city. We had a great time skating on the Frog Pond in the middle of Boston Common. Beautiful place, amongst the trees - doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of a city. For more info: http://www.bostoncommonfrogpond.org

I’ve seen ads for skating in Newport, RI in the past (once called Born, then Sovereign), but never tried it. I found a website for it, but it doesn’t appear to be updated for 2007-2008 season.

Does anyone know if it’s going to open this year?

Oh they have the cutest little rink in Newport! We went last year when I was quite pregnant, so no skating for me but I did take some pictures of my husband and son: http://www.flickr.com/photos/riggenransom/sets/72157594558029100/

It should be open this year, I think it’s been around for quite some time…
