DownCity Design offers a free after-school program for Providence middle schoolers.
DownCity Design is now offering DownCity Discovery, a free after-school program for Providence middle schoolers at their studio on the west side of Providence.
The program has been opened up to 5th graders and starts this Friday, October 5, 2018, so register online soon.
Class Description: Work together to dream up a fantastic new structure to meet a community need in Providence, then learn to use drills, saws, hammers, and nails to build it. This is a great class for anyone interested in architecture, design, or construction. No construction skills are necessary, they will teach you everything you need to know.

DownCity Design is a non-profit community design studio dedicated to helping people design solutions for their communities. In our free youth programs, we help kids become change-makers by inviting them to design and build structures, graphics and products that make our neighborhoods better places to live, work, and learn.
