Santander Bank and the New England Revolution announced two initiatives taking place this Saturday, August 11, 2018, during a home match at Gillette Stadium. The initiatives will recognize the importance of education and the incredible work of teachers across New England.

The match will be celebrated as Teacher Appreciation Day, and Santander Bank invites teachers to register for a complimentary pair of tickets, courtesy of Santander Bank, which will honor all teachers in attendance during a half-time ceremony. Santander Bank will also host a back-to-school drive to benefit Cradles to Crayons®. These initiatives are part of Santander Bank’s Day of Game sponsorship and its role as the Official Bank of the New England Revolution.

Educators from across New England are invited to register for their pair of complimentary tickets to the match against the Philadelphia Union at https://www.revolutionsoccer.net/santander-teacher-appreciation.

Teachers can pick up their tickets on Saturday, August 11, at the Santander Bank tent located next to the ProShop (next to the Raytheon sign). Teachers who have not registered for tickets beforehand can also visit the Santander Bank tent to pick up their tickets, pending availability.

To raise awareness, fans in the New England area are encouraged to tag and thank their favorite teachers on social media to recognize their positive impacts and share the opportunity to attend. Educators and fans can find out more details by visiting https://www.revolutionsoccer.net/santander-teacher-appreciation.

As a part of their continued commitment to supporting education and the New England communities in which they operate, Santander Bank’s Day of Game school supply drive will help Massachusetts students get much needed school items as they prepare to head back to school. Santander Bank and the Revolution ask that fans and families attending the match bring donations for the drive. The items most in need for the 2018 school year are boys t-shirts and short sleeved shirts, size 7-8, but other new or gently used clothing and school supplies will also be accepted. All items received will be donated to Cradles to Crayons and distributed to children in need.

“It is with great respect and admiration that we invite teachers from the community to attend the August 11 match against the Philadelphia Union,” said Maria Veltre, Santander Bank’s chief marketing and digital officer. “Santander Bank and the Revolution are proud to provide educators the recognition they deserve while simultaneously collecting needed items for such an impactful organization as Cradles to Crayons. We are honored to support an organization that assists underserved local students and is committed to bettering the community.”

Santander Bank is proud to serve as the Official Bank of the New England Revolution, now playing its 23rd season. The collaboration supports those making a positive impact across the New England community and Santander Bank is honored to recognize those entrusted with supporting the development and education of future generations.
