Goose Wing in Little Compton. It was two marsh rivers for children to play in and the ocean. Plus ice cream on the way home at Gray’s!

  3. Trish says:

I’m guessing the one in Anguilla doesn’t count! So, Roger Wheeler Beach, aka Sandhill Cove, is my pick.

    Thanks for the contest!

  4. Jane Z. says:

My favorite beach is Scarborough beach because although it can be very crowded, the waves are tremendous.

  5. Alisa Omert says:

The beach is usually one big snackfest for us, so depending on where we go: After a day at the beach in Little Compton we like Grays ice cream for “dinner” ( my 6 year olds favorite) and Crazy Burger, after a day at Narragansett beaches, for their great lemonade and sweet potato fries!!

  6. Wen says:

Round Hill Beach in South Dartmouth is the best! great tidal pool for little ones and the famous Salvador’s for Ice Cream on the drive home is always a hit 🙂

  7. Lori says:

Evelyn’s Drive In-Tiverton after a day at South Shore Beach in Little Compton

  8. kathryn says:

our toddler loves to feel the surf waves at narragansett beach crash into his body.

  9. I’m quite partial to East Matunick beach. I haven’t been there during the day in awhile, but i was out there photographing at night a few days ago!

  10. c.m. says:

Sand Hill Cove with the kids (yes I know it has a new name) then Brickley’s for the BEST ice cream.

  11. suzi says:

narragansett because of the surfing for the kids and husband. we usually go to point judith for a seafood dinner. next time i think we will try crazy burger!

  12. Marc says:

    Roger Wheeler Beach- family friendly!

  13. Denise Schultz says:

We love Misquamicut, but just recently went to Roger Wheeler beach for the first time, and loved it. I have to give props to the carousel in Watch Hill (a must do!). As for beach fare, we usually grab a Del’s. There is a small clam shack near the end of Misquamicut Avenue…that is really good. I can’t think of the name of it. Its across from the private beach club…

  14. Niki says:

Love Roger Wheeler too but wish they would fix their playground!

  15. Deanna says:

    Fav Beach: Matunick State Beach
    Fav Post-beach snack: Fried clams!

  16. Megan says:

We all love Goose Wing and then a stop at Grays Ice Cream afterwards…

  17. John Gambino says:

I bring my daughter to the North Kingstown beach because there aren’t big waves, the ocean floor is sandy, and it’s usually shallow enough for her to explore with ease!

  18. Katrin says:

Second beach in Middletown is our favorite beach. Nice waves for boogie boarding and white sand for castles. You can also go to Third beach with smaller waves for little kids. Sweet Berry Farm is around the corner. Right now they have u-pick blueberries & peaches and all kinds of yummy and healthy snacks. Good bread. Sometimes they have live music events.

  19. Jennifer says:

east matunuck state beach…matunuck oyster bar.

    sand hill cove…crazy burger.

    south shore…black goose cafe.

  20. Eva says:

Horseneck beach followed by ice cream at Handy Hill!
