On Sunday, May 6, 2018, RI will join a national celebration day for children who wear glasses, patches, and contacts.
Locally, the Great Glasses Play Day will be from noon-2 pm at the Moses Brown Lower School playground at 250 Lloyd Avenue, in Providence. This is the 7th annual Great Glasses Play Day, which is a parent-organized play date.
The celebration also highlights the importance of early vision testing/screening.
You can find coloring pages with children with glasses and here is the local play day’s Facebook page.
The Great Glasses Play Day is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization. It is a joint venture between Peeps Eyewear , Little Four Eyes and Eye Power Kid’s Wear.
