National Novel Writing Month

Help your 7-12th grader write a novel in November!

As part of School One’s Young Writers program, students in grades 7-12 can sign up for National Novel Writing Month also known as NaNoWriMo – a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.

The challenge: draft a novel during the month of November. This is a free, after school writing program. Writers meet weekly with School One faculty and creative writing instructor Maryann Ullmann.

The workshop runs from 3:30-5 pm at School One, 220 University Avenue, Providence, RI 02906, on these dates:

  • October 29: Plan novels and goals!
  • November 8, 12, 19, 26: Write, write, write.
  • December 3: Share.
Students must preregister

This program is free but students must pre-register with School One by contacting Diana at dianac@school-one.org or completing this form.
