MAKE A BOOK FOR IMAGINATION WEEK!
The opening of the Imagination Center kicks off our Imagination Week, a week to let your imagination soar through creative writing, drawing, and play! What better way to end your summer vacation than making your own book? This week during Imagination Center open hours we’ll be making + giving books to children to write and draw their own stories.
Bring your book to the Imagination Center during our Imagination Week open hours by Thursday, August 29, to have your book in a special “Book Show” and share your story with others! The Book Show will take place from 4:30-5:30 pm at the Imagination Center during a special Burnside Park Music Series and Beer Garden.
The Imagination Center is a special place for the community to come together and participate in imaginative activities. For your book, try thinking about your favorite place. Why is it special to you? Describe what it looks like, what it smells like, where it is. What do you do there? Who else is there, or is it a place just for you? Has anything special ever happened there?
