Reporting information about recalled toys made in China has become too common on Kidoinfo. I hope more toy companies start to scrutinize how and where their toys are made before they ever get to our kids. CNN reported today that Mattel announced a third toy recall (affects 675,00 Barbie Accessories). Details found on CPSC.gov and Mattel websites.

There’s an excellent post about some China-alternatives on crafty lady Amy Karol’s blog angry chicken. And in Providence we’ve got the RISD student/alumni shows, Providence Open Market, stores like Madre Bella and Mod Mama — all places to get cool local and/or handmade toys.
And of course, books always make a great gift. Safe for licking 🙂
