Kidoinfo: What neighborhood do you live in?
Jae Wyllie Willard (JWW): Primrose, Barrington.  After living in Chicago for twelve years, my husband and I decided to move back to where he grew up to raise our family.  And we’re so glad we did!

Kidoinfo: Where were you born?
JWW: I was born in South Bend, IN, where I lived with my family when we weren’t traveling extensively.  I went to high school in Sweden for a couple of years, which was an amazing experience.

Kidoinfo: How long have you been in Rhode Island?
JWW: It will be four years in August.  So much has happened in so little time, it seems much longer.

Kidoinfo: What is your current state of mind?
JWW: Contentment, which is a beautiful thing!

Kidoinfo: Who’s in your family?
JWW: My amazing husband Mike, who supports me unconditionally even though all my endeavors make his life crazy busy.  Owen, my five year old son, who is already more environmentally conscience than most adults I know.  Teagan, my two year old daughter, who is most comfortable when wearing a tutu and sporting her Star Wars lightsaber.  We have a kitty we rescued this winter, who has a few names depending on who’s calling her, and a Great Dane puppy will be joining our family at the end of May.  His name is currently going to be Obi.

Kidoinfo: What trait do you most admire about your family?
JWW: We’re flexible.  We make plans, but don’t mind going with the flow, which makes things more interesting and hopefully a bit less stressful sometimes.

Kidoinfo: What is your favorite thing to do?
JWW: To be outside taking pictures with my kids, whether its on a hike, one of our various adventures, or in the backyard.

Kidoinfo: Where is your favorite place to hang out?
JWW: My in-laws have a little farm with horses, chickens, wooded trails, ponds, and an apple orchard.  There is so much to do, but also incredible gardens to relax in.

Kidoinfo: Where would you most like to live?
JWW: I’m pretty happy right where I am, although I do have my favorite places to go depending on the time of year.

Kidoinfo: What do you like to do when you are not with your kid(s)?
JWW: I enjoy the work I do.  I love working with both the families and nannies through my company New England Nannies.  But I’m also an Interior Designer and love being able to express my creative side on a daily basis too.

Kidoinfo: What is the most overrated thing about parenthood?
JWW: All of the things they tell you that you “need” to have to survive.

Kidoinfo: What is your most treasured possession?
JWW: My camera.

Kidoinfo: What superpower would you most like to have?
JWW: Is there one that helps with potty training?

Kidoinfo: Who is your favorite fictional mother or father?
JWW: Marge Simpson, the amount she has to deal with is ridiculous and yet her blue hair is always perfect.

Kidoinfo: What are you going to do now that you have answered these questions?
JWW: Go play outside before it starts to rain again.
