The 2011 Providence Children’s Film Festival is more than just great movies: PCFF runs educational workshops to give children from across the community a chance to explore their own creativity. This year, the festival will feature free drop-in art workshops sponsored by RISD Museum. In association with AS220, PCFF is proud to offer Spoken Word Poetry workshops for teens, led by poets from the documentary Louder Than A Bomb. Also featured during festival weekend: a Tape Art workshop. On the weekends before and after the festival PCFF is offering kid film fans a chance to make their own: in association with the Warren Art Spot PCFF is offering, Flipbook Fun on February 23, and How to Write A Movie workshops on February 12 and 13. Visit www.pcffri.org for more information on times, ages, fees and registration.
