At Audubon Society of Rhode Island, an independent state environmental organization, you can walk, snowshoe or cross-country ski on a beautiful refuge, borrow a book, video or DVD, arrange a classroom program, learn about bird feeding, how animals survive the winter, vernal pools and more, host a child’s birthday party, buy a nature related gift, sign your child up for summer day camp, or participate in a wide menu of programs. ASRI is for more than the birds! Nature Crafts for Kids, Sat 10 am-2 pm.
Hours: Mon-Sat, 9am - 5 pm, Sun 12pm - 5 pm.
Admission: Adults $6, Seniors (65+) $5, Children 4-12 $4, children under 4. ASRI members free. Citizens Bank Foundation Free Family Fun Day; free admission first Saturday of each month.
Birthday Parties:
For a party at this large nature center, choose from themes including whales, reptiles, bugs and butterflies, and tide pool critters. The 2-hour program includes use of a classroom, group admission to center, 15-minute craft time and 45-minute nature program (including live marine animals and/or nature hike). Remainder of time is for cake and presents. Must have one adult per five children, max. of 22 children and adults. Two-hour party is $155; Audubon Society of R.I. members, $125.
