The Festival Ballet Providence Center for Dance Education offers a comprehensive dance curriculum for ages 3 to adults (it is also the home of Providence’s only professional ballet company: Festival Ballet Providence). An international faculty chaired by Artistic Director Mihailo Djuric, provides excellent training for both recreational and pre-professional students. Over 70 classes a week are offered in the morning, afternoon and evening including: Creative Movement, Rhythm and Movement, Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Jazz and Floor Barre. We also offer classes at our satellite studio in East Providence at The Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School’s Carter Center

I have worked with Festival Ballet as an independent choreographer on and off over the past 10 years. I don’t think Providence knows how fortunate it is to have a company and school like Festival Ballet. The school teaches children to become dance professionals with compassion, knowledge and skill. The teachers are seasoned professionals. The company has grown over the years to a highly skilled group or artists who are as lovely to work with as they are to watch perform. It is not often that you find such a genuine group of dancers at such a high level of excellence in a city the size of Providence. I recommend Festival Ballet without hesitation to any parent.

Valerie - I’ve been looking for a ballet school for my 5 year old daughter and had heard good things about FBP. Do you still work there or involved in anyway? Just looking to get an update since it’s been a while since you posted.

I have read some positive reviews about Festival Ballet Providence. This is a perfect school for young people who want to learn ballet. Their classes are meant for those who want to hone skills in dancing. aside from ballet, they also offer other forms of dancing like jazz.

I also recommend Festival Ballet Providence for those who want to have ballet classes. My niece is taking up her ballet dance lesson in Festival Ballet and I often go there to fetch her after her classes. And I observe that the the place is really suitable for dance lessons. Heads up for Festival Ballet Providence!
