December seems like the perfect time for a cookie tasting bonanza.
Thanks to RI Food Fights’, the Spectacular COOKIE Smackdown happens this Sunday, December 9th, the 3rd in a series of Rhode Island culinary contests where we, the people, get to taste the foods and vote for our rhody favorites!
The finest bakers have been invited to compete for the title of VERY BEST COOKIE in Rhode Island! For $10 you can sample the tastiest cookies in the state and wash it all down with all the milk, coffee, soda or hot chocolate you can handle! Enjoy ice cold milk from Whole Foods Market Waterman Street / Whole Foods Market University Heights, soda and seltzer water from Yacht Club Soda and hot cocoa and coffee from Providence Coffee Roasters!
I love that there will be beverages that appeal to the kids and the parents. And my boys (and I) cannot wait for the cookie buffet. I think we may do laps in the park before we head over just to make room for more tasting.
I am giving away 4 tickets to this event. If you want a chance to win, tell me the name of your favorite cookie in the comments below. Deadline is Friday, December 7th at 3:00PM EST. I will randomly select one winner from all the entries to win 4 tickets to The Spectacular Cookie Smackdown on December 9, 2012.

My favorite cookie of the year is Eye Cookies’ Gagnam Style cookie. I also love the cookies at Coffee Depot with all of the crazy flours and unexpected ingredients. Or a very plain crisp-chewy oatmeal raisin, sent to me in a care package.
