It’s that time of year when the leaves fall, the weather gets cooler and our waistlines tend to expand from all of the delicious seasonal faire. The average person, will in fact, pack an extra 10 pounds onto their frame this holiday season and consume a massive 3,000-4,000 calories at Thanksgiving dinner alone. Instead of feeling lethargic and stodgy, why not drag your family to a local Turkey Trot and work off some bird and pie. There are a number of fun, family-friendly local races ready for you to try out. You don’t have to be a speedy racer, these events welcome one and all to come together, get outside and have fun and most offer shorter distances for walkers and younger children to get involved too. All races are stroller friendly.
