We are days away from Barack Obama being sworn in as the next President of the United States.
There is still time to make your own Obama T-shirt for your children (or you) to wear on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009.
Supplies:
White cotton T-shirt
Ink Jet Iron-on Transfer Paper (available at most office supply stores)
How-to:
Wash and dry T-shirt
Download OBAMA PDF (the image is reversed on purpose)
Print OBAMA PDF onto transfer paper
Cut out design
Follow iron-on directions from transfer paper package
I put the above red-white-blue image on white T-shirts for each of my boys but I decided to make a grayscale version on a black T-shirt for me. To make a black OBAMA T-shirt you will need transfer paper designed for dark clothing. Read transfer paper directions carefully.
Download Black-Gray-White OBAMA pdf here. Note the image in this PDF is not reversed because of how the dark iron-on transfer paper works.
Thank you so much for this! Here it is 11:00 the night before, and my high school aged daughter wants one for school tomorrow. I had the transfer paper already.
Again – THANKS!!!!
Love it! We’re going to make some shirts!
