Mayor Taveras to Tour Providence Public Library’s Early Literacy Learning Center

As a kick-off to National Library Week/School Library Month activities, Providence Public Library will showcase its early literacy services and programs. Mayor Taveras will visit Library Cradle to Crayons programs and meet participants, guest read to a visiting Providence Feinstein School kindergarten class, and hear from librarians and education staff about the Library’s unique early literacy resources available to teachers, students and parents city- and statewide.

WHERE: Providence Public Library – 150 Empire Street, Providence (Children’s & Teen Rooms– Ground Level)
WHEN: Tuesday, April 5
9:45 – 10:45 am (Mayor’s scheduled visit time)

11:45 am — 12:15 pm              Lapsit Story Time   (Birth — 18 mos)

Teen Room
9:45 — 10:45 am                      Pre-School/K Story Time (Feinstein School Visit)
