Nov 4 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Author Jeff Kinney: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Deep End Drive-Thru Pool Party @ Barrington Town Hall

Join Barrington Books for a one-of-a-kind drive-thru pool party, with author Jeff Kinney celebrating Diary of a Wimpy Kid #15: The Deep End on Wednesday, November 4th at Barrington Town Hall for a drive-thru book launch pool party with Diary of a Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney! To celebrate the release of his latest book The Deep End (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #15), Jeff will be stopping in Barrington on his Pool Party Tour to hand out signed copies of the book to readers in a safe, fun, socially distant way. This is a ticketed event. All vehicles must have a ticket, which includes a pre-signed copy of The Deep End (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #15) and admission for one vehicle. Each vehicle will choose their arrival time slot. Do not arrive early, as vehicles will only be allowed in at their scheduled time.

Tickets are only available online at Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/author-jeff-kinney-diary-of-a-wimpy-kid-the-deep-end-book-pool-party-tour-tickets-125494337943
All books will be pre-signed. Due to health restrictions, there will be no personalization at this event.

HAVE SOME FUN: DECORATE YOUR CAR! Grab the whole family and Wimpify your car so it’s ready to roll through the Drive-Thru Pool Party! Decorations and signs are highly encouraged. The family with the best-decorated car will win a boxed set of Diary of a Wimpy Kid books!

IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION: In order to ensure the safety of our customers, staff, and visiting author, the ticket options are broken down into 30-minute time slots. You will be able to select a time slot on the Eventbrite ticket site. This allows us to control the number of cars we have at one time, and to ensure our ability to follow current state COVID-19 event guidelines. You must arrive during the time slot on your ticket. Cars will enter via the entrance at the stoplight into the Town Hall campus. Please do not come early, as we will not be able to accommodate early arrivals. If you show up after your ticket time, you may not be able to meet the author.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION: Health & Safety: Your health and safety is our priority, which is why we ask all event attendees to follow the COVID-19 guidelines, which include: •Wearing a mask. All attendees over 2 must wear a mask when their car windows are open, no exceptions. • Remaining in the car. All attendees must stay in their cars at all times during the event, no exceptions. • Staying home if you are sick. Have a fever, cough, or don’t feel well? Stay home! We can send a book to you. Signed Books: Due to restrictions in the interest of public health, all books will be pre-signed before the event. There will be no personalization at this event, and no books signed from home. We will have a limited number of *signed* copies of Jeff Kinney’s books from The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and Awesome Friendly Kid series.
Photos: Jeff is happy to take socially distanced photos with readers! A photographer will be on-hand to take photos of customers with Jeff, which will be available to view and download online after the event for free. During the photo, families must remain inside their car and Jeff will remain outside.
Questions about the event: Please contact Barrington Books at 401-245-7925 or 401-432-7222.
